Window tint.. By Tint a car "Bolle" (Rob Tait advised me to get a none metalic tint, as it could interfer with the am radio or some of the other electronic in the car such as bluetooth, door locks etc. I took his advice to be on the safe side.
Damm it... No mud flaps yet. Should have ordered these.
After one week just loving it, (when I can get it off my wife). Quality, beautiful to drive, quiet, comfortable and very responsive. Yeh there is a slight turbo lag on take off, but once up and running she's very impressive. And Oh, the economy... Done over 1000km already in a week to one tank, city driving.
Love the SatNav/radio. So far ,much easier than the TomTom I had mounted on the windscreen of the previous car.
One regret. Should have ordered the mudflaps. Anyone getting a new Passat, make sure you get the mudflaps, it will keep the road dirt off the side of the car.
Anyway, So far very happy with the purchase...Love that car.
Jon.

I better not say what I am getting... lets just say ... not even half that...
Have you tried hosting you pickkie in something like Photobucket? in order to get it to work?
Oh, and um... yeah, I got the mudflaps...

Like FSI, I am not about to offer any info on my Passats economy suffice to say the power & noise make up for any stray thoughts of economy.......
I didn't option the mud flaps.
Keep on enjoying the car Jon G, they are awesome pieces of kit....

melbourne to castlemaine and back on the weekend, Wife's Passat 125TDI wagon.
2500km's on the clock now, and it returned 6.0L/100km's. And I must say that the mfd consumption is pretty accurate to pump experience.
engine is bedding in now nicely.
One thing you might all be able to assist in, I noticed the coasting function doesn't work or is deactivated if cruise is on. I wonder if it would be more economical without cruise control.
Oh, and it's a much nicer drive with a flappy paddle wheel thanks to the install help of a fellow forumite. DSG box is useless without one of those....
More opportunites have been lost from indecision, rather than wrong decision....
Hey FSI 220. Is there anyway of posting pics without using photobucket?
Happens to be the one I use, because i find it easy to remember the link (I am simple like that- "bucket of fotos"), also i can upload off the mobile if needed... you need to host it somehwere... I wont sharespace/MyBook/Facecloud/twoot/skydrove so i dont know if you can link to them (i would assume you can)...
Cheers
John

Marakai,
As a matter of interest. Recent fuel consumption figures calculating actual fuel used (refill at bowser vs km travelled)
1. 58.6 litres x 930km: 6.3l/100km
2. 62.3 litres x 998km: 6.24l/100km
This is mostly city/suburban driving and some freeway driving, (if you can call the 'Monash' a freeway during in peak hour). Very pleased with the fuel consumption.
