    Passat Wagon Cargo Mat

    Hi All,
Just purched a new Arctic Blue Passat Wagon - leather, 18" rims, auto boot & sunroof.
    I have 1 question...
    1. Does anyone know where I can get a boot liner from in NSW? VW tried to charge me $270..
    Cheers
    Adrian

on a similar vein, but not a plastic protector - in the uk they have a very flash cargo management system - like audi A4 but its not available in oz.

ive been looking but not yet found anything i like.

ive found a fabric folding net which stays put with velcro. - will try and find the link.
had a passat tdi. now mb c class.

    Great Boot Mat

    Hi Adrian
I have a fabulous rubber mat that fits perfectly in the back of my wagon. I bought it about 4 years ago, originally for a Ford Terror, but with a bit of trimming with a Stanley knife, it fits like a glove in the Dub. I'm pretty sure I bought it from K-Mart, although it might have been Auto-One. The brand is "Complexion" (yeah, I know, dumb name) and it was ridiculously cheap - about $35.

    Good luck

Here's a photo of our liner. It's a bit grotty right now, but you'll get the idea. As I said in an earlier post, it was about $35 a few years ago.

BTW, I couldn't wait to get rid of my Terror. It was the biggest heap of rubbish; a shocker of a tranny, always pinging, constant electrical faults, stuff falling off or breaking etc. When it wasn't at the dealer getting unfixed, it was at the servo having a looooong drink. Man did that thing use some fuel. The worst thing was that Ford Australia didn't give a rats about several problems which remained unfixed after 3 years.
In contrast, the Dub is nearly due for its first (15k) service, and there's not a thing to report, other than the DSG being a bit snappy. I have the 3.2L 4motion and it uses 40% less juice than the Terror (albeit having a preference for 98 proof wine rather than beer), and I don't feel like I'm wrecking the planet every time I drive to work. Ahhh. I feel much better now.

    Cheers
