    Passat VR6 versus Golf VR6

    Hi Guys..............

Looking at a VW with a bit more grunt...............

Been led to believe the Golf Vr6 now has some issues due to its age.

What is the 'good oil' on the Passat Vr6??

    Thanks.........Doublecab

the issues us VR6'ers are having at the moment is pure coincidence. I was happy to replace my clutch at 200k it was the workshop that did the change that didnt notice the cracked clutch fork.

I've had my car for over a year now and apart from regular servicing thats all i have replace on it.

a Passat VR6 would be no different Km or Km, and as far as i know the passat is heavier.

have to agree with black on this one...passat is heavier so naturally there would be more wear.

There are a few things to notice with both the vr6 types. With the Golf it came as a sports car, with the recaro seats, trims and features. As with the Passat I think that it came with leather seats but not recaros. Also as stated they are a heavier car so petrol consumption to will also be a problem, more than the Golf.

As for owners, Midget and Golf loon have owned these cars, Mighet still does they can advise more than what we can though
I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...
