Passat TDI servicing - Eastern Melbourne?

    Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a mechanic (around the eastern suburbs of melb.) to service my Passat 2012 TDI wagon or should I just go back to the dealer?

This will be my first service at 15000km.

    Thanks...

Stay with the dealership while in the warranty period. It makes it easier to get repairs done under goodwill if something pops up after the warranty expires.

Volkspower in Burwood is pretty good. Had my 30,000km service done there and had no issues claiming warranty on the car since then (did 15k and 45k at Dealers though, will probably do 60k at VP again)

Mine is going to Volkspower for its first service (15,000 klms) tomorrow.

I disagree with iampivot re warranty. In my experience of any car manuafacturer, unless it can be proven that the fault occured whilst under warranty then you haven't a hope in hell. That combined with the cost difference for servicing, the free loan car & the word of mouth recommendation is enough for me to go to Volkspower & stay clear of VW.

I concur. I don't go to vw dealer for service and i intend to do the same for the passat when it arrives.
