Passat stereo

i have been looking at the passat brochure on vw aust website and shows the passat with the RCD510 stereo which it says is colour and touch screen etc as standard. but if i look at cars for sale ( 08 and 09 ) cars, they show a different stereo unit. can someone show me what they have? or correct/ fill me in please.
im going to buy a 125kw model.

I have just purchased an MY09 and it has the RCD510 as standard(builddate is July 08.
MY08 have a much more basic unit ( non touchscreen and no Aux in).

Go for the MY09 if you can. Dealers are trying to run out the MY08 so you would save yourself a bit more money.

My R36 was in the first batch in the country, in June 08, and I do not have the touchscreen stereo..... The second batch onwards has this upgrade.

I have looked at the website frequently, and I believe that the upgraded stereo was released around September onwards, when they changed the wheels, and started the "highline" model designation. The new models have different alloys to the pre MY09 upgrade which is the easiest way to tell.
