how does the W8 Passat go? Had any of those oil pressure(?) problems that I've heard about with the W8 engine?

W8 isn't that fast off the mark. It's very heavy and very long geared - but it'll keep pulling and pulling to silly speeds. It's designed for the Autobahn. That and the engine note is priceless!

Not had any oil pressure problems, cam adjuster issues etc *touch wood* but I do maintain 5000 mile regular oil changes - which I gather from other W8 owners tends to keep them happy. The second the oil isn't like golden hunny the adjusters get charred up and play stupid.

those wheels are Genuine Lamborghini wheels, two sets of fronts.....they are mine i bought them off him last week and on their way to me here in Australia as we speak...

Hahaha... The thing with pictures is, they could all be fake. If someone has to lie on an internet forum to feel good about themselves, then the joke is really on them.

Good on him for getting a car he loves and the wheels he wants. Regardless of what other people think - the bottom line is you have to like your own car. And if impressing people by having them think you're someone you're not or have a car you don't etc etc, on an internet forum is what makes you happy, then good on you!

I believe him. A little coincidental that he's getting the EXACT wheels from a guy who's car is in a random online photo. But plausable. Personally, I can't wait to see pictures with more angles etc. I still don't think they're a great wheel - but it will certainly be a unique look and will have the added bonus of dropping a lot of excess weight from the car.
