If its not stalling and not jerking in reverse, I wouldn't worry about. Drive it for a while and see what happens over time. The DSG takes some getting use to.
Recently picked up a new (to me) Passat TDI and am a little concerned about how the gearbox reacts in reverse. when only light on the throttle it seems to feel like its going to stall. any ideas? or is this normal for the DSG. its a late 2006 model if that makes a difference.
cheers

Sounds normal to me, will take you some getting used to.
we have an uphill driveway and i have to give it a bootfull in reverse to get to go anywhere
Reversing up any slope is a handful, but with "autohold" ON it is much easier. The car likes to roll with gravity otherwise, which can be quite disconcerting.

strange mine is starting to stall occasionally when changing from reverse to 1st and vice versa both when cold and after being warmed up during slow speed manouvres.
