Perhaps all of those who have suffered injector failures should list up in Greg's thread in the Diesel section with the date/mileage of the failure (double list for reoccurance) + action taken.

And a thread suggesting likewise be created in the Golf/Jetta MkV forum

Then a definitive list can be more easily compiled.

I agree with you kaange...

Thankfully I have a Common Rail Diesel (CR)...Engine Code CBBB.

Maybe to save any future confusion with people viewing these pages for the first time; anyone with problem engines could possibly add the Engine Code and the fact that it is a Pump Duse Diesel (PD) engine.

Possible PD Engine Codes include the following;
- 103kw (Golf, Jetta, Passat) (BKP, BMA, BMP)
- 125kw (Golf GT, Passat) (BMR, BUZ, BWV) and obviously other vehicles in the VAG range.

If any of the above info is incorrect, please amend as required.

I truly hope all affected get rectified ASAP!!!

Just to relax many Golf and Passat owners, it is only Piezo PD injector made by Siemens, so not every 103TDI Golf and Passat. Easiest way to check if you have Piezo PD injectors or electromechanical PD injector is to check the brochure that you got from the dealer before you bought a car. On one of the back pages where engine data are listed you could read Piezo PD injection or PD injection or Common Rail injection.

Fuel System - Bosch EDC 17 with common rail injection

Does that mean mine will be ok ?
