Passat 118 TSI - Oil Consumption

Having owned a 2010 Passat 118 TSI since new, I have put in at least 60 litres of top oil in it over the 5 year period since purchasing new, the car now has 118,000 kms on it. However I have noticed the Oil consumption appears to have increased to 600KM per litre of oil at present!! however the performance and fuel economy appear to be as good as when I purchased it.
The good news is the DSG issues appeared to be fixed after 3 clutch and 1 mechatronic replacements under warranty.

The Car suits our purposes, but I fear I'm pushing my luck holding onto it.
    Any advice?

Go to the ACCC website & make yourself familiar with your statutory warranty rights. Then contact VW customer service and ask what VW will do to fix it. Your average consumption is already more than VW's "acceptable" 500ml/1000km (which isn't acceptable at all).

I assume the 118tsi in the passat is the 1.8L? I have the same engine in my Skoda. It has 160,000km and uses 200ml/7500km.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
