Only my opinion + I am biased, have the wagon!
I find the wagon to be a stylish, understated & elegant looker.
To me, the sedan does not have the same 'balance', stance and 'presence' that the wagon does (nor flexibility in load carrying). Sedan owners will probably disagree - each to their own. In either case (sedan or wagon), it is a great car.
If you (and you wife) can, try and have a look at a sedan + wagon next to each other (dealer dependant) - may help re decision.
