How frequently do you think you'll do that, though? Nanolex on their website advertises that a properly/professionally applied coat will last 2(!) years.

Mr Detail state they use Nanolex - I'll see what the quote request I sent them comes back with. If it's $5-600, then yeah, you'll be in the money easily over the lifetime of the car!

Maybe I'll just rent the hardware from you and then only buy the consumables!

The wait was painful, but worth it in the end as it is a very enjoyable car to drive. The amount of get up and go it has is incredible, especially considering I still have to drive it conservatively whilst running it in.

Curious has your dealer booked you in for a 1500km service or are they just leaving it until 15k service. Ours has us booked in, but say its just more an inspection rather than any actual service.

Well hopefully you continue enjoying your Passat as much as you currently are, as I am sure we are going to enjoy ours
    Hi Toto
I was unsure of the servicing as the manual gave me the impression that the first service could be as late as 2 years or 60,000 Km!!!
I phoned the dealer and they told me 15,000km (which I subsequently found out is also what the service sticker says).
I assume from what I've read in the manual that provided the correct oil is used the car itself will tell me when the following service is due.

15000k on mine was what it said. Have only done 12000 in 20 months and service light hasnt come on yet I gave it the 15,000k service after 12 months at about 8,000k Long life servicing is not applicable to Australia as per another thread on here yesterday
