    Oil Temp on the 3C

This is prob an RTFM question, but I have RTFM and can't find it

Is there a function to see oil temperature on the 3C Passat? via MFD or something else (like the climate control OBD on the Audis?) I know there's a oil temp sensor.

    cheers

Yes! But not on yours...(assuming your talking about your 2008 V6)
You need a white MFD for this to work.

Or get yourself a Kufatec Bluetooth and it has some of these extra functions; maybe not oil temp though...

Thanks the Kufatec Bluetooth looks very interesting but quite expensive at 350 euro.

For that I can by a netbook that stays permanently in the car with my VAGCOM cable

What's the white MFD? is that in the later models or R36?

From about 2009 onwards, the Passat range got a facelift, with updated interiors and instrumentation. One of the changes was to the MFD. In yours, you have three MFD windows, one in each of the two main dials, and the large centre window, and all three windows are red in colour. The dials have a blue backlight with red needles.

In the 2009+ models, the dials got new graphics with predominantly white backlights. The MFD became a single-window affair, with white illumination.

I find the new one a lot easier to read than the old one.
