Sorry mate, got any more details of your car? which model, engine etc. Does the light come on when hot/cold? after driving long distance? stop start driving?
Im guessing its an 08 passat by your name but that could always have changed!

Hey all have noticed laterly my oil light comes on so have taken to VW to get them to check oil levels, it seems to be full, go back inside as said might be faulty pressure switch or something and then started car and gone. Other day same thing happened light on checked oil levels was all good and then gone again has this happened to anyone else. (In my old car subaru liberty i had to get a bottom end rebuild and then a new bottom end because oil light didnt come on)

Are we talking about oil pressure light or oil level sensor ?

The oil light comes on in the car is there a difference in light?
Oil pressure is generally red and beeps a few times , oil level is orange and generally only beeps once

It the oil level cause it makes a beep and is orange. So is it easy to fix if that? Price etc anyone know?

So it comes on with all the other lights when you turn it on, and then stays on/ comes on again straight away after the rest of them go out?
And the dealership or you have made sure the level is actually correct right? If thats the case i'd be leaning towards the level sensor. But if the dealer has looked at it they may have come to a different conclussion. As bug_racer said, the orange oil light isnt related to pressure so i wouldnt have thought it was pressure related.
Honestly i wouldnt stress too much about lacking pressure and ending up with an engine that needs rebuild, in my experience oil pressure issues are not really an issue, much more likely a faulty level sensor or something
