    oil leak

    Hey I have a 2008 passat Wagon tfsi petrol. I have noticed oil in my carport so looked underneath and there oil leak looks like coming out metal housing bit but got no idea what it is. Looks near transmission.

    Don't speculate, have it looked at properly. It could be a million things. One occasion I don't get to say have it scanned.

    Alway follow the leak up. Could be the rear of the rocker cover etc.

    Could be oil filter/cooler housing.

    But yes, at least post up a pic if you want an internet diagnosis. Being vague won't get you anywhere fast.
