I like the new exterior, I think there is an opportunity for some decent sports kits to help if it doesn't look the part for some tastes (which is the same for a lot of cars). The AMG model for Merc has worked wonders for their margins, not sure why VW don't offer something similar.

The dash display mechanism (and being able to select/customise) looks promising, to be fair the interior is something I have grown to really appreciate over the years in my CC and do like this version, clean lines and it doesn't look cluttered (I was turned off the interior of a few test drives this year in a CLA, a 320 and a peek at the Q50).

Now to see what the new CC looks like, this could be bloody good alternative if the price point is right and I can get the level of goodies I want (not holding my breath but hey). Its a contender for me if it can deliver at less then 50K.

"The narrow-angle V6, which hasn't been seen since the R36 version of the Passat in the B6 chassis, would continue to run with a 15-degree vee."

    Err, wot?

"More interior room" has my hopes up.

Am in the ridiculous situation at present where both the current Jetta and Passat have less rear legroom than our MkV Jetta (due to inferior packaging). After I adjust my front seat to accommodate my 6'8" frame there is stuff all room in the back seat of the current Jetta and Passat.

Fingers crossed ... if so, I'll take the fast version with the big wheels as per the adverts ...

The high powered diesel in wagon for me thanks. Love the dash and the looks, very Audi..

Me thinks the Amarok is gonna get traded next year.

I too am excited by the claimed spec for the 2 litre diesel engine. Just a couple of queries.....which DSG will it have to withstand the 500Nm torque and what are the chances of remapping this engine to get any further performance gains from it (or is this about the limit the 2 litre diesel engine will go to currently).

The Audi longitudinal DSG 7 speed (S-tronic) is rated up to 600Nm, and supports up to 330kW. But it's the wrong orientation! But that's easy to fix right?

At the risk of repeating others on this topic, here is the German website. It gives quite a lot of information even without translation into English.
