I love the front on grader view. Good for photos but not much else.

Of course, we should appreciate VWs first attempts at the B6 hovercraft.

Cardigan brigade would also agree with "looks dope" as that has a different meaning to the cardigan generation.

I shouldn't talk though. 1960's, with a defect notice on my very low Ford Anglia, it was too low to clear the protection rails on the pits at Rosebery RTA.
You know you are getting old when you cancel your order for a 3.6 CC and buy an Icelandic Gray TDI CC instead.

Just to clarify, I'm not part of the "Cardigan Brigade". But that thing would handle as well as an oil tanker in rough seas!

If anyone can ever come up with a valid reason for having a car that low (regardless of HOW it's done), please feel free to share.

Actually rocket, these days, air ride is actually pretty good. Providing he's using a good quality kit, which uses (eg) bilstein dampers, when pumped up (not this low obviously) it'll handle just as well as standard. You can even option them up to have adjustable dampers and full electronic leveling!

I thought airbag suspension actually handled quite well (obviosuly not as well as a set of KW V3's)
It is also fully adjustable and would only be dropped that low for show, normal ride height would apply for daily driving.

I think it was Dom that might have posted it, but Walter Rohrl piloted a GT3 RS witth and without airride, the airride car was slower by like half a second or some miserable amount.

Such negative feedback on the idea of airbags....

i dont know about you guys but my bilstein air ride works a hell of alot better than my standard passat shocks and springs

as for a purpose.... EVERYONE knows its sole purpose, as stipid as it sounds, people do get air ride just to go that extra little bit lower the coilovers cant find..... ohh and we can also dodge speedhumps and driveways too without any damage.........

im certain this dude has spent alot of money on getting his car like this and installed air ride so he doesnt smash everything

plus coilovers suck when they are set lowered, i can have my passat 10mm off the ground and handle like a rollsroyce! also another reason for air ride

    dom
