Yup - this is another common fault. I went through two of these faults with my 07 tdi.. Once I had to disconnect the battery for 10min to get the Park Brake to release.
Next warranty issue.... today, I fired up the car to leave work, error message on dash saying "Park brake fault - refer to owner's manual", and the yellow park brake indicator illuminated.
Did the Windows trick (shut down and restart), no issue..
Drove to pick up my wife, all good.. stopped while waiting for her, restarted, same error messages. Park brake released, drove home with the warning light on, all gone when I stopped and restarted a couple of times once home.
So, at least the car's consistent - averaging a warranty item roughly every 10,000km (give or take a few). It's done about 13,000km on the new injectors..
Got to take it back tomorrow to get the engine clips reinstalled which were forgotten about in the aforementioned injector replacement, while it's there I'll get them to look at the park brake as well.
And just when I thought it was starting to get better..

Sorry, should have made it clearer.. It's actually the warning light in the tacho (not the park brake button itself), coupled with an error message in the MFD saying "Park brake fault - refer to owner's manual".
Manual says refer to dealer, which I did today when the engine cover clips were checked (and didn't need replacing...), they misunderstood what I said and replaced the park brake button (again... Only about the 3rd or 4th time).... Which just meant that as I left, the same message came up again.
May as well just wait for the next service now, it'll be due in about a month or so.
