Forget the stereo, get any colour, they are all good. Grey is classy, Blue is Heroic (if you like to stand out), White is sporty and easy to live with.

I have had all sorts of colours, Green T5 Volvo (will never buy one again they are goods cars poorly sorted with underdone suspension. I love the V70 but again the suspension on them is just underdeveloped), Red Monaro, Blue Honda.

I ended up with Grey as I left the order open for what came in first, Blue, Grey or White. The Blue or white was going to be 4 months, the Grey was on the showroom floor and I drove it out the next day!

I would not normally buy grey but this is not like a Camry Cardigan grey, it has real depth and looks very classy

How is having the Dynaudio going to improve my experience in the following circumstances:

Full car, conversations, radio for background music.

Single passenger, talking occasionally, some good (taste not quality) music playing and level that means I can still hear the car and traffic around me.

On my own, listening to the music I love most, loudish but not so loud that it's all I can hear.

I can ALWAYS here the parking sensors no matter what the circumstances if that helps. Please explain to me how $2000+ is worth it when the stock system easily handles all the situations.
clearly its not worth it to YOU, you keep the 2K and spend it on something nice...doesn't mean its not worth it to other people....in my opinion its a fantastic sounding system, well worth the outlay...still if you have other priorities for your 2K, the standard system is still a cut above other standard (or even premium) systems i have experienced...

Great car, but a couple of issues:

    1. 1st gear is rough from start, feels like a rough clutch. Will see how that goes.

    2. - the biggie - They stuffed up the order, and the car does NOT have Dynaudio. Very disgruntled. They acknowledged that they have stuffed up, and offered me either a discount (to the value of Dynaudio) or a retro-fit. The retro-fit would have to come from a new car that they order and strip the Dynaudio stuff out of as it is not available as parts.

I'm thinking I should be digging heels in and getting them to give me the new car... am I being unreasonable? What does everyone think? It's clearly on the order forms, and all their documentation.

Having said that - what a car!!!! So smooth (apart form 1st as above), love the sound of it, well put together, looks HAWT!
swallowtail, sorry to hear that you have had a less than stellar delivery experience...whilst i would advocate digging your heels in, if you really want the dynaudio, check the fine print on the contract....from memory i think there is a clause that says something along the lines that if you drive off, you are deemed to have accepted the vehicle as supplied....don't crucify me if that's not the case, but i can't lay my hands on my contract....either way....good luck

I've got Dynaudio and it's brilliant!!! If you like bass.... It's worth it in my opinion.

Good luck with the car.... Worth the wait!

I Agree with the brilliance of Dynaudio, it all depends on what type of music you listen to but clarity and depth of bass is amazing, not the doof doof bass, but true bass.

Also agree that Dynaudio is a winner. I must admit I would have been satisfied with the standard package until I experienced the Dynaudio. Given the $70k spend on an R36, IMO the Dynaudio is a small price to pay for premium audio. Each to their own though!!!

The parking sensors in the 09 Passats mute the stereo when you turn the parking sensors on or put it into reverse.

In Tone > Volume settings you can select to mute or lower volume when parking sensors are engaged.
