New Passat release next year, or Mercedes?

At present waiting for release of new Passat late next year.
(I find my present one a "bone shaker" on country roads.) (Brings out all the thumps and crashes)
(Ok, should have ordered Adaptive suspension, but goofed)
In high hopes new model will be better. (Seeing it is built on stretched Golf platform!!)

However saw good review of new C class Mercedes in recent Sydney Morning Herald.
Lots of goodies. Emphasis on quiet, comfortable, ride.

So considering should I wait in hopes forthcoming Passat will truly
    give me a better ride?

OR, should I simply trade up now?
While present car is only 18months old? (only 23000K on clock!)
Rather than wait another year, while if New Passat does not meet hopes,
present car another year older, so less trade in.

Due to my age, and being retired, whatever happens, this will be my very last car.

    Mercedes versus Passat,
    1. I prefer appearance of present Passat
    2. Nice leather upholstery, Mercedes imitation leather.
    3. Like present Passat interior, New version not so good, Clock an afterthought.
    4. Mercedes bloody expensive.
    5. Present Passat very good rear vision camera. Better than Mercedes?
    6. Passat Optical parking good, BUT the Beep tones much too soft. Hearing aids very little help.
(Ok have been back to dealer several times, but perhaps technician not with it!)
(The rear transducer is terrible, can hardly hear it)

OK, love my Passat, But buy Mercedes? Which should be my last car?

    My 2 cents

Go the passat. As to me, the C class is the basic model hence the cheaper leather and more basic whereas the passat is more the top of the line Vw.
Having had 3 passat, I always compare any other car against the passat interior.
Agree with the bumpiness of passats and can concur that dcc is the way to go.

Sort of in the same space, new C Class, new CC or wait for the 2015 Passat B8.
Some of my thought patterns is that the CC has most of the gear I am looking for now and its cheaper then the C Class. The new B8 will have some amazing kit but its a year off (ish, been told Q3 by a VW dealer).
Whats delaying me is that the new CC will be a March delivery anyway and I want to see if there is an update to the kit for 2015 since I have to wait that long anyway.

First, wait for the great VW launch in a couple of months time.
(Actually, most details already available, but perhaps some clarification)
Then, like me, have an anxious wait, to see what VWA will import.

I have high hopes that new construction platform will totally change
character of Passat towards Golf in terms of ride comfort and responsive handling.

Jeremy Clarkson had this to say about earlier CC adaptive suspension.
(I am dredging my memory on what I read in Top Gear)

"Front seat ride acceptable. Rear passenger promotes motion sickness"
"Switching to 'sport' front ride is harsh"
"Why didn't VW stick to their excellent shock absorbers used in other Passat's?"

So I wonder how much I have been missing out on by not having ACC?

Having owned a cc with Acc and 2 passats without I can say that it did make a difference to driving.
