    Saw this rendering this morning.

Looks pretty cool but needs to be more out there, it just looks like a hyundai sonata now.

The actual car will no doubt be quite different.

No doubt it will be good, but is'nt it obvious how many car marques are looking the same these days. You could put any logo/badge on that car and fool anybody. Hence the CC I have on order.

    Just needs a bonnet scoop

The glasshouse, rear 3/4 area and proportions are similar to the just superseded Liberty sedan. Give them a similar nose and they could have been separated at birth.

    Thumbs up

    Hhmmmm......me don't like

Looks like everything else. The current Passat and CC are real head-turners.

The body shape is an improvement (on standard Passat) but I don't like the front end of it much and prefer the look of the current Passat CC (that I have on order)! At least it looks much better than the Subaru Liberty though.

Everyone should take a deep breath. These are just renderings. I.e. they are NOT real and are NOT a true representation of what the new Passat will actually look like.

It's why I always reserve final judgement until the manufacturer reveals the new model.

A good example is the new E-Class Mercedes. Looked horrible in early renderings and is totally sexy now that it's released!

Hmmm. Yep agree on that. Some cars look better when released (eg E Class coupe - though I DON'T agree about the sedan!). Some don't. Some look better in the flesh compared to photos (eg Passat CC).
