Thanks for your feedback guys. I have a heavy right but am rebuilding an old VH SLE commodore to satisfy that.

The Passat is for the wife/family but ill be driving it when we're all together.

I'll keep you posted on what I end up buying.

Ask a silly question... Why not get the 118TSI and get it APR/GIAC'd etc? Spend less $, get better economy than the V6 and more performance than the 125TDI.

Thought about this too.

The real reason I was considering the Passat in the first place was because of the Diesel engine. So with that said I'm going for the 125tdi. I have to keep reminding myself that its the wife's car not mine and she doesn't care how fast she gets to 100kmh

Ended up with neither a v6 passat or the diesel highline wagon. Just ordered a passat alltrack with sports pack and sunroof. I guess it's a little or column A and a little from column B. ahold take delivery in late Jan '13

It is available for the Audi A4 1.8TSI which is basically the same engine, I would suspect that the Passat tune will be available by xmas
