    Adaptive cruise or adaptive chassis??
Mine doesn't have either so doesn't affect me!
Adaptive cruise would have no effect by changing the springs.
IF you meant adaptive chassis control it would most likely make each stage of adjustment firmer than normal. Comfort after springs would be similiar to normal sans springs, normal would be like sport and sport would be pretty darn stiff. I can only presume this is the case. Maybe someone that has done springs on a car with adaptive chassis could respond?

The actuation of the valve in the shock is in response to settings of position, rate, aceleration (the dynamics of it all) of the assembly which is being monitored. (I am theoreticising here - as a former industrial engineer)I believe it is PID control theory.

Change the displacement (location of ride height from the datum) or via a spring rate change change the rate of displacement and and thus alter the acceleration reaction for a given input, you end up with a different reponse from expected which leads to a different actuation to get back to expected, but this gives a differing result from expected again... If you are lucky you just end up slightly over or under damped, if you are particularly unlucky you can get into aliasing (as the shock is not actuating, you will never turn it into an amplifyer, but it could get messy enough).

New badge, matte black with matte red background.
Looks ok. Red is not as vivid as the photos make out.

I'd always liked Audis where the rings were blacked out. Would need to see this in person though... (or a wider angle)

Great news - the sister car should have arrived at the docks yesterday. Could be taking delivery in around a fortnight.

Cool, we'll have to meet up for a Tornado Red Passat Wagon Convention!

I tried not to take a too wide angled shot of the badge so a) you couldn't see how dirty my car is and b) so you can't see how much assorted car crap I have consuming my garage. Having 5 cars of various makes tends to force the stockpiling of 5 times more rubbish than what would be considered normal.....

Got a call from the dealer yesterday that the car had just arrived. Went and checked it after work. All looks great - all options there as requested. It still had the transport packing over it, so I couldn't see the red roof / sunroof combination. Next week its off to the detailer, window tints and towbar to be fitted, and all going well we should be driving it by this time next week.

Picked the car up in the middle of a heavy rain storm with some hail on Friday - luckily by the time the dealer finished the delivery inside the showroom the hail had stopped.

Very happy with it - just need to understand how to load CDs onto the hard drive (copyright issues?). Also seems to have the common problem of blasting cold air into the cabin when in strong sunlight - despite it only being 5 degrees outside and the cabin set to 20

Now just to get a set of Euro style numberplates.

    Looks great.

You can't rip CDs, just copy MP3/WMA songs from data CD/DVDs or SD Card.
