Looks great Shoota..... Could do with a small drop (10mm) if you really wanted but otherwise still looks great...
Still a poor quality photo but gives a bit of an idea of the look-

I have cluster envy...
How hard was it to get it in... and where did you source it? a ball park ewemucwezit? (aimed at Shoota and Booba)
Sorry, just read the thread again... was that 500 installed? unofficial dealer fit?

Having a Gap Year!!!!
what next?... what next?
What size are those rims and what offset, Shoota? Looks great.
Hi John, the cluster was $400 shipped and I gave the guy in the workshop $100 to fit and code it for me. $100 was pretty generous but he's a good guy and knows his stuff. It only took about half an hour, 40 mins with a bit of other fiddling around.
Lance- The rims are 19X8.5 and are the standard VW +45 offset. You certainly wouldn't want them sticking out any further, they're borderline unroadworthy. I really need to stick the guard extenders on to make it all legit.
Very happy with the look. Still rides pretty nice. Some may diasgree but my last car was running 20's so I'm pretty used to low profile tyres.
Thanks for the info. That means that they would sit further out by 6mm than the originals? I am thinking of putting the CC Sagitta optional rims on and they are 19 x 8 but ET41, which would mean sitting out 4mm further than the originals. What about the load rating of the 20" tyres? Are there any with 95 load rating? This is my only concern with going to 19" as the highest I can find is 91.
Looks great. I saw a red R36 in Sth Melbourne a few months back and being an R36 owner myself questioned the guy. He said it was a special order through the dealer. Looked great!! Just goes to show it doesn't hurt to ask those extra questions.
PS - those black rims make it!! Nice one

Highly recommend 20mm KW springs which i used on my R36.
After putting 19's returned the R36 to OEM height

If I drove it I would but I gave my wife the choice and she'd rather have it as is.
The KW springs for the Passat drop it 35-40mm which to me is awesome but to her is not!
Lets just pretend it's a prototype Alltrack in testing shall we.......
