Well I hope that there are a few worthwhile changes to reward us for the wait... Mine will be built next month in the next scheduled run for Australia...
Hmmm, seems to be very quiet on the home front for what is going to be the minor or major changes for 2010.
This might tend to suggest that nothing is to change for Aus. I suppose this could be both good and bad.

Mine too.......
The thing that I would be interested in, is if the Advanced or Adaptive Cruise Control will be available.
That's the only other option I would have liked from the Passat CC that I compared the R36 to.
Hope we find out soon so I can get onto the dealer and ask them to put ACC on the options if it becomes available.
EDIT: There was a photo of a supposed facelifted Passat 2010 model... don't know if there would be any changes to the shape really. That would be the most unlikely. I think the car they are showing here was probably an early concept of the CC (notice the wheels)... but it does have a family resemblance to the Golf 6 - see the VW symbol going into the bonnet sheet metal and the lights... can't say for sure...

ACC won't be an option because of the front end setup of the R36. It's definitely an option I would have ticked though!
from that link:
"There is no future for the VR6 engine in the new Passat."
Keep in mind that this is just Comgen for what is probably the MY11 model. I am assuming the MY10 model will be the same as now with the new steering wheel and HVA controls that are now used in the GOLF and Passat CC (Bets anyone??)
If thats true that there is no V6 then the R36 will be out of commission for a while. (and the highline and CC)
Its not unusual however, when a new module comes along to hold back the performance models initially.

That's good news for me! No new R36 until early 2013. Will be ready to replace mine by then.Expected to debut in late 2011 as a 2012 model.... *snip* One year after the launch of the Passat sedan will be the station wagon. This will be followed closely by a new high-performance model to replace the current R36.
