That has to be you Kenny!!!
Nice write up mate... felt pretty much the same way as you did when you first jumped into this beast of a car!!!
I will gather some collective thoughts and share but you pretty much summed it up .. extensively hehe

Cheers.Still slogging away through the run-in period. Sigh.
Spent about 5 minutes in the car today with the manual trying to work out how to a) set the passenger side mirror to lower when reverse is selected, b) how to set the seat memoryes, and c) how to associate said memories with the key. The process is quite simple, after a fashion. The instructions in the manual are quite poorly written - in fact, under the "Memory seats" section on page 78-79 of the manual, there's no instructions for simply assigning the seat position to memory. If you look hard enough, it's there, buried in the "assigning driver seat settings to a vehicle key" heading.
The same thing applies to my earlier criticism about the lack of detail in the cruise control section - the manual says that moving the cruise lever up increases speed by 'a small increment', and moving the lever down decreases speed by 'a small increment'. The manual's definition is better expressed as 'rounds up or down to the nearest 10km/h. Another poster on here kindly pointed out that you can use the set/resume controls to increase/decrease the set speed by 1km/h increments - again, no mention of this feature (that I can find) in the manual.
Three and a bit weeks in, still enjoying the car immensely!
So Sanchez, where's your write up?![]()
And the lack of conversion for RHD markets. For the left hand auto-dip mirror for example, it says that the mirror control has to be in the "R" position for the mirror to auto-dip. Which makes no sense. It has to be on "L" for it to auto-dip in RHD markets. Love this feature though - it's made me a reverse parking king !
I've owned quite a few cars over the years and I must say the owners handbook is diabolical.
Makes the simplest task very difficult

2007 Audi A4 B7 Cabriolet
1997 R33 GTR Skyline V-SPEC ,2011 Harley V-Rod Muscle
manual was a shocker - I just pressed all the buttons and saw what they did - its how I figured out how to make the cruise control increments go up/down in single increments![]()

They've fixed this in the manual I've got. They changed the wording so it's universal - the manual makes reference to the 'front passenger exterior mirror' now. The back cover of my manual says:
Owner's manual:
Passat Estate, Magotan Estate
Print status: 09.04.2010
Englisch: 05.2010
Art.-Nr.: 111.5R1.PV6.20
