MY10.5 Passat 118TSI standard car + Metallic paint + MDI = $39.8K

hello everyone,

Im a new guy of this forum, currently looking for a family car for the baby due on July.
Went to a local dealer last week, did a test drive of 118TSI, its not bad at all, they offered $39.8k incl metallic paint + MDI.
Is that a good deal?
Can someone shed some light?

Does that include licence and stamp duty costs? FYI metallic paint is worth about $650 and the MDI is about $300..

Agree the 118TSI is a pretty good car. I have just ordered one with Satnav, Dynaudio, Leather, elec seats, Xenons, MDI, Child seats and park assist. Now I have to wait for it to be built..

Yup, $39.8k is the driveraway price.
the RRP driveraway price was 44k quote from the dealer.
I read this forum and found out someone did bargain 12% down off the RRP driveraway price, my one only less than 10%...

10% isnt too bad... Maybe try any other dealers nearby to see what prices they can do for Passats in stock.
