Whilst the car I've ordered is being built to my specification, I have made sure that the final purchase decision is subject to a test drive. So if I can get a test drive before my car arrives (August) I'll know whether to stick with the order or go for an A6.

I would go for the A6 3.2 FSI quattro tiptronic anyday. But its like $25-30k difference.

That's why I went with the VW.

I'm taking an A6 3.0 TDI quattro for a test drive tomorrow. Slightly different proposition but still an interesting option for a family car.

Does the 3.0 TDI come in an A6 wagon? I don't think it did when I looked, so the closest alternative was the Allroad... but it costs far more than a bloody Q7, and we have one of those already...!

I don't think so. Mine escaped from the boat a week or two ago and I haven't been able to track it since. We can't get the Patrick Autocare booking number from the VIN/WW website, so I'm in the same boat... I don't know where it is unless the dealer tells me. I'm hoping to pick it up in a week or two, but I can't see where it is so I have no idea

We're expecting two R36's to turn up here at the dealership in about 12-14 days at most. It takes about the same time for our cars to clear through Patricks as it does in the east so sit tight peoples they're nearly here
