    Muffler size of the R36?

Hey all, I was just wondering of someone could do me a big favor and post the measurements of the muffler sizes of the R36 sedan? I had a fantastic ride in R36 wagon this Sat, I can't wait to make time to get down to the dealer to negotiate/ order my sedan and I'm just planning a few mods.

Useful info would be height, width and depth of the oval/can. Inlet diameter size and outlet diameter size.

    Thanks in advance.

So anybody out there have an R36 Sedan? Maybe the wagon's have the same mufflers? I'd just like to know what size mufflers I can fit in that space?

To be honest, I don't think anyone knows...
Probably best to speak to a tuning shop that has worked on an R36.

Best place to go would be Evolve Technik in Boxhill if you want to do some mods to the R36

Just remember the universal "Inverse proportional Law" applies here - the larger the rear muffler pipe, the smaller the male member's (cough) "member"

(it similarly applies to the multiplicity of giant radio aerials on some 4WDs)

    Hey Harleyqn,

    I'm in the Richmond area.
If you want, you can measure the mufflers on my .:R36.
    Let me know.

    Cheers,
    Jayse.

Thanks Jayse, but the other day as I was coming back from abbotsford, I spotted a lonely parked blue R36 wagon. So I pulled up and as discretely as possible did a rough measure up. Strangely, the muffler looks very much like that used in my wife's turbo Jetta, except that only one pipe outlet was use while the other was left blocked off. Thanks again!
