mild exhaust smell while stationary...

I am getting a mild exhaust smell in the cabin. The smell quickly goes away after I start moving again..
I checked exhaust and was very hot...is that normal?

Yes your exhaust will be hot..... is the smell coming through your aircon or did you have your window down?

No, not coming through aircon...Yes, windows is down...
Sorry, for asking....I know that is stupid question. I had ecu engine software update and since then i feel smell.

I doubt you have anything to be worried about then if your window was down.

Is yours a diesel? You might be re-generating...

It's a diesel, it can smell.
Deal with it, it's normal.
