    Metal Pedals - R36

    Another point.

I have had the R36 for about a month now, and am loving it.

Cleaning it regularly, and noticed yesterday that I have scratched the hell out of the accellerator pedal.

I figure it is not with sneakers, but rather my leather soled work shoes, which is doing the damage.

The GTI Had more rubber which protected the metal, but I can see this is going to be a real problem on the R, given how bad it is in the first month.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to stop it happening, or how to clean the scratches - they are only fine surface "scuff" marks, but will become annoying.

On another matter - I am having to re-learn getting out of the car, as I have hit the side skirt on more than one occassion and left nasty scuff marks!!
