I thought the recall was now temp sensor and/or software upgrade. The initial recall was temp sensor only, but then they discovered a software bug relating to the temp sensor as well.

    3. Delayed upshifting via paddles. Seem to notice a quarter to half second delay on part-throttle upshifting. It might be me, but this seems less of an issue when using the gearshifter, and shifts are also more immediate via paddles during more spirited driving.
I get these two symptoms on my MY10 R36 also (Aug 2009 build).

I always thought the "thumping" sound is normal as I also heard it on the demo car I test drove.

And mine also has the delay on upshifts (I use manual mode 99% of the time). I'm trying to work out if there a certain rev range it happens in, but so far it seems pretty random.

So you guys are saying these symptoms are not normal? Anyone else experience these issues?

I thought it was normal for the DSG to be a bit more "relaxed" during part throttle/no throttle shifts up or down.....

I've noticed that with light throttle opening it will slur the changes like a traditional auto - its only when you're giving it a bit of a bootful that it will shift quicker....

Love the F1 style thump while changing up!!

OK to be REALLY specific. The recall is a software UPDATE that means the chance (as unlikely as it is) of the DSG temp being reported as something higher than it actually is, and therefore going into safe mode, gets fixed.
