I cannot imagine the struggle any engine would have at a guestimated 1200 odd RPM for 60 KPH in 6th, especially when still cold 500 metres from start.
Mine's quite happy to do it...

And I've seen a few engines that don't do over 1000rpm at 115km/h.. but then, they're about 11,360 cubic inches, weigh about 50 tonnes, pump out 4500bhp, and could pull an Airbus A380 backwards..
