Just an FYI, i did a bit of reading about front pads as i was looking at EBC Red stuff and was told that there has been a lot of cases of warped rotors with them. I was originally going to get EBC rotors and pads until i read that on a few forums.
Well then, damn. Hmm, I considered circumventing the sensor (as I do have VCDS), but I'm not too keen on disabling safety features.
I probably should have been more thorough with the pad purchase, haha. I might keep the QFMs on the back and change the front set.
Appreciate the responses guys and thanks Warrick, for continually replying.

Yeah, I had seen a few similar reports about the EBC Reds. I've ended up replacing the QFM fronts with a set of Bendix General CTs which have a bit of an interesting write-up. Had never heard of this particular line from Bendix until our local brake guy mentioned it.
Haven't seen much on the forums about them, so I guess I'll see how they go.
I don't classify brake wear sensors as a safety feature - more a "I don't get my car serviced enough / properly" feature.
If nothing else, they come on far too early & they don't account for uneven pad wear.
