    Well Guys,

Just made arrangements to check out my MY10.5 Icelandic Grey Passat Wagon TDI at dealer before handover on Friday. Like everyone has commented on so far, the stainless steel load sill protection sill looks absolutely crap on the brand spanking new car!

Not only was it lifting on the edges but it was NOT the shiny/glossy polished stainless steel finish I was hoping for that would blend in nicely with the chrome finish on the car. Therefore, I have advised dealer to remove that dull looking piece of tin & put the clear contact sill protection on instead. I know it's probably not worth as much but I'm not going to accept it in the current condition.

    My two cents worth!

The sales guy said that it may not sit flush because it wasn't designed for the R36 bumper, but if I press it down, it seems to fit perfectly. So what he said doesn't really make sense.

Does anyone have any tips for re-sticking the plate so it sits properly on the bumper?
I have the 125TDI and mine is the same. But, given the slight scuffing in places, it is doing the job! I bought mine from Reydel VW on E-bay for cheaper than the local price for the clear acrylic version.
