Hey everyone. First time poster here. Apologies if this has been posted before but I used the search function and had difficulty finding exactly what I was after.
Wondering if anyone has this same issue... I recently purchased some canbus error free w5w LEDs off ebay for my 2011 B7 Passat Wagon and have installed them in my parker and interior lights with no bulb out warnings. I have also installed LEDs in the bumper DRLs and reverse lights with no issues whatsoever.
However when I did the number plate lights, for some reason one of them shows an error (although the lights work just fine). The error instantly goes away from that particular light housing if I place a regular bulb in there, but the error doesn't show with that same bulb in the other side. The bulbs don't show errors in any other spots as I have swapped and tested them all in different places so I can be sure it's definitely not them.
So the issue must be with the light housing then? I checked to see if the contact points were dirty or bent and it all looks to be fine and completely identical to the other side. What could be causing this? Apologies if this is a silly question. Hope someone can help.
Cheers,
Chris
