Just got my new R36 (so my wife tellls me)

    Hi Folks
Lashed out and bought the white R36 wagon that has been sitting in the showroom at VW Gold Coast.
Had it delivered to Cairns by TNT, and my wife picked it up today - she tells me it's great.
I'm stuck in Sydney until next week so she gets to play with the new toy and I get to dream about it.
Home on Tuesday, so will get a decent drive in then - can't wait.
All the advice on this site really helped.
    Thanks guys

Congrats on the purchase. If it's any help, once you get to drive it you will *LOVE* it.

Wagon or sedan? I have the white R36 wagon and it looks stunning!

    Rocket, This adds no value.

To the OP - welcome and I hope that you get home safely soon to get a drive of your new car. Hoping also the wife lets you have the keys, cos I know if mine welcomes a new car I have no chance of driving it for the first 3 months.

    Hope you stick around.

CJT - welcome and congrats. It is a great car and you won't regret your decision. Well done

I have had mine for a little over two months and it is still as exciting and rewarding to drive as the first time.

    Hey,

I've seen that white wagon in the GC showroom for a while. I purchased my black sedan and upon delivery the white wagon to my car's place in the showroom

For some reason it seems to have been there for awhile (couple of months I think). Only has 40 kms on the clock, so hadn't been used too much. Maybe they weren't prepared to deal at first, but over time have become a bit more motivated.
Haven't really driven it properly yet, as my only test drive was around the block in the middle of all those huge storms recently.
I'm actually at the airport as I write this, so tomorrow morning will be the 1st decent drive (unless I go for a midnight spin when I get home).
Car had the Satnav, sunroof and auto tailgate.
