Did you have all 4 replaced?
Hi all, actually went about this the wrong way and posted under the "Passat" header first instead of the "Newbie" area. My car is a MY 2008 125TDI Passat Station Wagon which was my pride and joy until it stopped. So, after reading this forum's content for some time now, I thought I'd join. Although the car is fixed now, the experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and I was all set to trade it in for a new Polo GTi. Got in early, paid deposit etc. for delivery end of this month, when unfortunately it turned out that "the car was not on the ship after all" and delivery would be more likely later in the year. Got my deposit back okay but am now facing my Passat's warranty running out in April and not sure wether or not to "invest" the quoted $3500 or so in extended warranty..... It's done nearly 60000 so will have to take that into account as well. I wonder if there is a warranty period covering the newly replaced injectors? Any advice would be much appreciated.....

That's what I was told and what it says on the paperwork....
MY18 VW Passat Alltrack Wolfsburg Edition + Panoramic Sunroof + some extra goodies... (Pure White)
MY17 ŠKODA Superb 206TSI 4x4 + Sunroof + Tech Pack + Comfort Pack + some extra goodies... (Moon White)
Some do some dont, and the loom must be replaced too. At that amount of ks and year date wernt you still under warranty?? or worst case you surely should have had some goodwill. ill just add here for new readers ive done a few injectors but out of the amount of passats ive looked at or serviced its been 1 in 10 for me.
Cheers

Thanks for the information. Yes, it was still under warranty, which runs out in April this year. Would you recommend taking out extended warranty, especially if the whole lot was replaced and supposedly subject to a two year warranty period according to another reply here? I might just ring VW Aust to confirm that my parts are indeed guaranteed for two years. It was quite strange; first, at the beginning of the week they said it would be at least 10 days as the parts had to come from Germany and then, at the end of the week, the car was suddenly fixed....
If you intend keeping your car for a while extended warranty is a no brainer if something goes wrong it could get expensive I had the same when my injectors failed they said it could be over a week but only took a couple of days

That's a good sign, it looks like that they keep the injectors in stock now.
