    intake manifold replaced

    Ok have a 08 passat tsi 2.0 just got the intake manifold replaced due to engine light coming on. So driving car home put foot down bit light flashes on then goes off he done a reading and there missfire now I checked ages ago on the plugs they are Platinum plugs could thst be the problem? They not that old. When the light does come in the car runs not good for bit basically if foot flat to floor runs bad but if slowly accelerate it is Ok. What could it be? Help anyone

    I had a 2.0 TSI with a small missfire under load, small enough for VAS to not detect it but I could feel it, ended up diagnosing it as two out of the four injectors, although you'll need a proper diagnosis mate.

    Take it back to the repairer (dealer?)

    I want going to pay vw 900 dollars to do a 500 dollar job so had a mechanic do it that used to work there years ago.

    Not sure what your point is. If he put it together wrong he should fix it. Even back-yarders give warranty unless they are total shonks.

    as I said...take it back to the repairer.
