i just changed mine on my R36 (3.6 VR6 engine)
swapping all 6 took a total of 10 minutes so please don't pay the workshop to do it. all you need is a flathead screwdriver and 1 large-sized cable tie.

unfortunately though i am in melbourne

Given 6 take 10 minutes 4 should take around 7 minutes by my calculation.

I'm not sure where Solitaire gets the 2 hours and $245 from.

If you need a hand give me a shout or else you can always bring them along to our next coffee meet if you can hold on that long.

Good to hear that you got it all sorted.

It's not a hard job - but understand the added challenge you face.

You probably just need to be a bit more creative how you go about doing things (though obviously safety is important).
