You can alter this using Vagcom/VCDS to disarm the alarm when a key is used to unlock and/or arm the alarm when a key is used to lock. By default these are disabled.

    Hi Guys,

After 1 week of discussion with vw road assist. No luck.. they suggested to brick my window...

I was thinking to cut my sunroof rubber if possible.. since rubber is cheaper than window glass.

    Any other ??

    maybe cut my front grilll..??

    thanks

Is there a way to get under the bonnet and pull the cable from under/behind the bumper?

    Hi Passatpout,

Could you possible to check where is the cable going exactly?

    Thanks

If you ever need to smash glass to get into your vehicle check availability and price before smashing. The front windscreen is often the best option as they are replaced far more frequently than any other (and so are more available and cheaper than the others)

Priced a genuine windscreen lately? Far better to do the drivers window (or passenger one).

And the hassles with replacing the windscreen and sensor issues and so forth are not worth it even if the windscreen was cheaper.

I've seen cells in car batteries collapse with no notice whatsoever. What is VW's backup plan in that case?

in short, without being rude, no, the suggestion was for you to have a look.

I find it hard to believe that a car would be manufactured without a fail-safe for the door locks/electrics.

From the previous posts I assume that you have tried the plastic key as per the manual.

This kind of highlights that possibly VWAssist isnt all that good either
