You do loose the comfort menu
Becuase the mk6 protocol is slighy different
Cool, well it doesn't sound too hard. I'm thinking the instrument cluster in mine could be faulty as I have to bash the top of the dash every ten mins to stop a thousand warning lights coming on... It's starting to really annoy me![]()

Weird as !
You need to buy a plug and play conversion adaptor for installing as well i forgot to add
You can get it all from Carsystems.pl
They a bit pricy but **** their shipping times and service is great... You will need vag com to hook it up
Thanks! I think they are who I got the wiring for my MDI actually...

Since starting the MK2 the Passat isn't really getting modded any more...
However did decide to do one thing that pissed me off
I decided to kill the rear fog and re pin the rear fog on the CECM to the position of being a Right hand side reverse light
some editing in vag com a new European LHD Spec Reverse Light and voila my cars ass has some rear symmetry and has eliminated a never used rear foglamp.
If i really want the rear fog to work I can alter the right hand brake light to double as both.. (but wont bother at this stage)
Also got some LED bulbs for the reverse lights too.
