Been on the phone looking to find one. It amazes me how some of these VW dealers expect you to put money down just to look for a car with the specs that I need.

I thought that's what the computers on their desk were for. Its like I am asking them to personally drive out to the holding yard and look at every vehicle in there.

    Bugga.

I guess that I will have to wait for new stock to arrive or a second hand one to come up.

I am amazed at how prices vary between dealers. Its amazing

Is anyone willing to disclose how much of a good deal they got when the purchased an R36 lately ?

Hi - I'm in the market for one too. The price I was given from my local dealer was $69,599 drive away for a stock wagon (no options, apart from an electric tailgate, which he suggested is on all the cars in the country for some reason). Throwing in a sunroof and reverse cam took added $5,090 to the price. They said there was no price difference in getting an MY08 versus MY09 model, which I thought was ridiculous. This is all "pre-negotiation", so I hope they'll sharpen their pencils when the cash is on the table.

I'd love to know what you came across in terms of price, as I'm going to buy next week. Hey - what do you think they'll do if we went in asking for two?

Oh - I also saw something about 3 years free scheduled servicing for business customers ...

    R36 Sedan
    Biscay Blue
    Black Interior
    Sunroof
    Sat Nav
$70,000 drive away ($25,000 drive away change over on my trade-in)

I wasn't fussy. I actually wanted a white one and didn't care if it had no options (I had a TomTom and have had cars with and without sunroofs before). They couldn't find a brand new one to get from another dealer and they can't swap trades and demos so I bit the bullet and bought the one they had on their showroom floor. Suited me. Took 4 days to be in my garage from when I decided I wanted an R36, to having one.
