Hi Guys,
I am looking at used passat wagons in 20k range. I can get either petrol or diesel with 80-100k kms on it. I would like to drive this car for another at least 80-100k kms, so upto 200k. Which one should I pick, petrol or diesel? Pros and cons? Will diesel be too expensive to maintain at high kms??

Depends whether you are doing long runs or short commutes Diesels always run better hot so long runs are better.

Not to say it wont be any good to take to work etc. We have a petrol Polo for shopping basket and only use the Passat on longer trips
