Check out my post with the links to the configurators. The colours are as per them, but in Australia we only get the black carpet version (according to PhillipVWDealer on the previous page).
Can anyone confirm the interior colours for the beige option? I've just ordered a sedan with beige interior, but can't seem to find out what is beige and what is black. Is the carpet black or beige? Are the door trims beige too, or black? Be good to know so I don't get too much of a surprise when I eventually get to pick it up

Yap, carpet is black, can't pick beige. Door trim is top black and bottom beige, roof is grey.
It was a deal breaker for me together with the lack of RVC. However, I just discovered the other day from my friend's MB CLS, his roof is light grey as well that goes with beige interior....
Yep... As I said in one of my posts. Most cars with beige interiors have grey headliners. I have actually been in a car with a beige headliner too (an old Jag or something... trying to remember) and it was gross... there is such thing as too much beige, lol. I'd prefer the beige carpet over the black though
It's a subjective thing.
Also it depends on the theme of the car. CLS is a 4 door coupe, so luxury is not its them. There are a lot of black part on his CLS so the grey roof doesn't really stand out. I think Passat is also aim at that theme as a sports sedan.
My problem is I prefer luxury over sporty. So beige and wood is my flavor.
To be honest, the grey roof and black carpet wasn't my only deal breaker, it was also its bland styling that I just couldn't fall in love with.....
Yeah... agreed. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Thanks, that's great! I didn't want the beige carpets. Just the seats and bit of trim is enough - I think that combination is just perfect. The hood lining is a non really, as long as it's not blue or red!
As for the bland interior styling, it's the one thing that was the deal maker for me buying it over the competitors. I love the minimalist open look. It gives the interior such an incredible spaciousness that I cannot find in any other car today. And, it reeks of function with form - particularly because the ergonomics are so good. Whoever is responsible for the interior design needs to be applauded. It reminds me of early (c.1969) 280SE benz's. They had that same 'space'. TBH, I'm bored with sedans trying to be sports cars with their interiors where we seem to have to be totally cocooned and cramped. The passat will provide that spaciousness that has been lost in cars today. Honestly, I think VW have done an exceptional job with this passat (and I've never even owned one before! - a passat that is).
