Has anyone own or seen the new Passat in beige interior?

I have been searching endlessly for the desert beige interior of the new B7 passat over the net without much success. Most of the ones that shows beige interior are the US spec, which is a completely different model. The closest I can get is a two toned interior. I certainly hope it's not the case with the Australian Passat.

None of the cars in my local dealers have beige interior (I've tried 3 of them) and I was told that 99.8% of the cars imported will have black interior. None of them have seen one so can't comment. If I want beige, it will be special order.

VW used to have pictures of beige interior in their brochure, but not this time. The virtual tour on VW website also only shows black. I asked VW directly twice with no answer.

It seems a mystery!! For me the interior color will be decisive factor. Most Japanese cars have dropped beige interior with no good reason. Only Euro cars are offering beige interior at the moment. But only VW and Skoda are within my budget.

Has any one own one or seen one? If you can post a picture up here will be greatly appreciated.

Hey mate, welcome to the forums.

I too haven't seen any pictures, but you could get a general idea from the VW UK Car Configurator by, or even doing the same via the VW Germany Car Configurator (whilst it's in German, the graphics are better!).

It appears that there are four beige interiors. Two fabric, two leather. Within each material type, the difference is whether the carpet is black or beige. Hope that helps...

I think the problem of that particular car is that the aluminum panel just doesn't match, which makes it too light. Also the roof seems light gray, that also don't match either. The dark black carpet probably made things worse by giving a strong contrast.

I think it will look better with walnut insert, but gotta fork out $300.

Overall the Skoda Superb beige interior gives a better ambience.

I just dont know you could ever keep it clean. Tried beige interior once and never again. Be ok if its a once a week car but its amasing how dirty beige gets. I dont think you can change the carpet colour, but I may be wrong. Admit it looks nice but just not sure of its practicability

Your boot will have biege carpet your interior floor is black your upper part of your door are brown as is your dash. I have a wagon here in Biege..

Heh... that photographer needs to go back to school... how over exposed is everything? Even the steering wheel looks shiney and grey, instead of the much darker and flat leather it is in real life...

My wife drives a Volvo carrying 2 boys. (4&2 y/o), we are still able to keep it clean. The secret was when car was new, we applied top of range leather protection. Even if you draw on it with ball point pen, it wipes off immediately.

So far kids have spill food on it, puke on it, kick the seat back with their dirty feet and the car still look brand new! Amazing. I didn't believe the protection work at all, but I have to believe this one. Wasn't cheap though.

Compare with my current Accord Euro with black perforated leather. It's a nightmare trying to get little bread crumbs out of those holes. I personally think that's the worst....

But is the roof light grey? Looks a bit weird. The roof should be beige or light brown!

Light Grey.

Whilst it may seem strange, most people think it looks more natural to have it light grey (or anthracite in "sporty" cars). This is the normal for most manufacturers with biege, brown/chocolate, coffee, or other coloured interiors where you have a dark dash/upper door area.

The only time where I've seen the roof liner and pillars also in biege, is when the entire door trim and majority/all of the dash is also biege... but it's too much biege imo
