Had to Jump Start now have faults in MFD

Passat battery was too flat (just) to turn it over after holiday so I carefully read the manual and followed instructions to the letter.

All went well car started and runs ok.

    However the following is strange.

Firstly the electronic park brake switch wont turn off by pushing down on it . If I pull it up when its on it turns off ????????

The electronic Park brake light is flashing orange in the left binnacle.

The Airbag fault light is lit permanently in the right binnacle.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

It goes in for a service on Wednesday so maybe Just maybe I might fluke a dealer that can fix it easily and without breaking the bank.

I probably shouldn't have left the park brake on for the 9 weeks I was away.

Hopefully its just low voltage that has screwed with its little brain. Service early Wednesday so will see what happens. Shame the warranty expired on the 17th when I was away on holiday LOL

Let them know you had a flat battery, and go from there.

As said, chances are it will have logged a few low voltage codes.

My flat battery logged about 30 codes as all the computers were suffering from low voltage issues. Not a big deal and should be cleared when you get your service.

vcds can reset all dtc. if you have micro-can then you need to go into each controller with an error and reset fault codes. hex-usb+can owners can reset all dtc at once.

Thanks, understand that. Thought they were some special codes only can be cleared by dealer.
