LOL... we have plenty of fun that is true, but as you say you guys don't miss out!
Based on 25,000 kms a yr, you guys in the diesels would be saving about $1200 - $1500 a year over us petrol guzzlers (based on my 10.6 to 6.6).
Jealous?
I was under the impression (maybe mistakenly) that you R36 guys have all the fun!
It's "us" diesel boys who should be jealous.
Anyway, I think we can have our cake and eat it as well, the 0-100 time is not a true representation of how enjoyable all this torque is.
ENJOY.

Yep, I've surprised more than one Falcodore driver by not only keeping up, but getting in front of them from the lights.. and still not been going flat out.. I'm not exactly a featherweight on the throttle..

OK... My drive home from work just now averaged 8.9L/100km. That's 25km, about 17 highway and 8 city streets. And I wasn't driving like a granny either.

Sometimes - especially when a quick drive to the shops or something has an average consumption on trip 1 of 33L/100km!!!
(but not really - before the R36 boys disown me about complaining about Fuel consumption - the R36 has about the same average consumption as my MY05 WRX and its bigger and much more practical)

I have a fuel card in my lease package, so it's all part of the salary scrificed stuff, but hey it all comes back to me in the end!
I was trying on the way home tonight, got 8.7! It went as low as 7.7 at one point, but then coming across Bardon and Ashgrove bumped it back up.
