    400-450km per tank in Sydney.

    About 700 on the highway.

Can't people give some real numbers i.e. litres/100km like one of our esteemed colleagues.
Km per tank is pretty vague.

70 litre tank....say 10 litres left when filled up, so 60 litres divided by 450 kms multiplied by 100equals about 13.3 l/100km

    Passat CC 3.6 V6

Same engine as R36, about 7.9L/100km (trip computer) was the best I could get over 4 hours drive Coffs - Newcastle (with roadworks).

    That must be around town.

Mine was up around that mark when I first bought the car, and only drove it around town for the first couple of weeks. Probably didnt help that my right foot was buried in the carpet most of the time.

    I recall a V8 stateman I owned a while back - 5.0L engine and managed about 20L/100 in town!!

I think 12L/100 in town and 9.6/100 on the highway is respectable given the cars purpose.

Yup sure was. Got to the point where i filled up last Sunday and with a full tank of juice i was told I was going to get 170km till empty.

I did some Highway miles after this and its back to 400km a tank. I do have the right foot planted a LOT as i get sick of idiots doing 80 in the right lane when its 100 so i blow past them and go back to cruise.....
