Hi
I have the driver assistant package with the HID that moves when I turn my steering. What is the DLA And FLA?
Hi All,
I am currently retrofitting Dynamic Light Assist to my B7 Passat.
I can detail the coding required for both DLA and FLA if anyone is interested.
There is no additional hardware required for FLA is you already have the Driver Assistance Package.
For DLA, you will need to purchase different headlights units which I have in my possession.
I did try to enable Sign assist however it doesn't recognise Australian speed signs, didn't think that it would but worth a shot.
Boobs.

Nope. Swivel lighting is something else. FLA is the auto highbeam/dimming.
from a vw website: Dynamic Light Assist optimises illumination of the carriageway for even greater safety on the road.
The system with variable road illumination allows the main beam to be left on continuously without dazzling oncoming traffic. This is possible thanks to a masking function which can partially dip the main-beam headlights. The information on other road users and the street lighting is captured by a camera on the interior mirror and relayed to the Dynamic Light Assist system. This significantly improves illumination of the entire carriageway.
Dynamic Light Assist produces a brand new lighting sensation that is always perfectly tailored to the traffic situation.
Note that you need additional hardware for DLA. you can have FLA for free with coding of A5 controller. There is no a smart arse about it. i merely asked if anyone was interested and i will let you know the coding. I am not going to bother documenting it if no one cares and you probably don't.

The camera is probably for lane assist. I'll have to test out if auto dipping of the main beam occurs (as it does in the Lexus which seemed to me to have a lag. Maybe this is due to light intensity).

I'll try to ask a dealer later this week and post a reply if the explanation is sensible.
