    Fiscon bluetooth question

I have just had the Fiscon/Kufatec bluetooth installed in my car and all works brilliantly. The only thing I want to know is how to delete/alter one of the 6 memory speed dial numbers off the main screen. I put in a contact into one of the 6 speed dial numbers and I need to alter it, but there does not seem to be any way of altering it. Does anyone know?

    OK...

Instead of a quick push and let go to dial, push and hold the speed dial button. after a few seconds release, and it will go to an edit screen on which you can delete or edit it.

there's one I haven't done, the other way is to push the setup button, and select phone, in there is a preset numbers setting.

    Hi Swallowtail,

Who installed yours in Brisbane and were you happy with it? My work has agreed to buy and install the unit.

    Cheers

I bought it from Kufatec in Germany directly and then I installed it myself... Took about an hour. Pretty sure Northfield at Moorooka (who did my stereo upgrade yesterday) would be able to do it though.

You have to remove the two little drawers above the stereo, remove the faceplate around the stereo, undo the torx screws that hold the stereo in place and pull it out. Feed the BT unit down the back, wire it up (really easy) and run the mike to where you want it. I have mine on top of the steering column, works really well there.

Finally a VAGCOM code change and it's all done.

Would Northfield supply the Fiscon too?

I'm wondering whether to order the unit from Kufatec or oemplus?

Couldn't install it myself even though I have done such things on my Accord Euro - just not that way inclined anymore unfortunately. Leave it to someone who knows what they're doing.

Is there a specific location for the bluetooth box to fit? I have the same kit (for a Golf V) but the instructions don't suggest where to fit it.

Ok, I worked it out. I have the standard stereo and so it is just a matter of pushing the "Set Up" button to the right of the stereo's screen. It then asks which device do you want to edit, ie the "radio", "media", "phone", Traffic information" etc. Just press the "phone" and then you can choose to edit the speed dial numbers.

    How good is that.

After I posted this, I then saw that Caddyman has posted the "fix" previously.

Only problem with the BasicPlus system seems that it works better with the red display MFD. It gives extra functions.

Maybe is worth waiting for the white version to come out.
